Long-sleeve cotton poplin pajama set in red stripe

I thought, “hey these are light shaded” and others think they are normally sized. So maybe I should go up a size & get an xs instead of xxs.” Yep, that’s what I did!! These haven’t been worn yet (past trying them on), but when slipped them on to my 5” slightly bloated (ok i was weighing in around 110 when I’m usually less) mesomorph frame, after—for the zillionth time—wondering why ALL pjs don’t have pockets, then thanking whomever there picked up on this, I thought “wow, I kinda feel like i did when I stole my dad’s pjs in high school!! I can deal, though, as I’ll probably wear layers under these & have as my “I’m feeling bloated” set of pjs. I guess the taller gals are happy for the lengthening of the bottoms!!I I feel happy for them :)

Lovely pajama set AND YET the pajamas and packaging smell absolutely terrible--they smell of mildew. I washed them once with laundry soap to get rid of the smell. No luck. They still smell awful. Now washing with 5 cups of vinegar. If this doesn't help I will send them back. They arrived in a single shipment, apart from other things we ordered during the holiday sale. I can't figure out why this item had this awful problem when everything else we received was fine.

In the winter I am normally a flannel pj girl but these cotton pjs were too irresistible to pass up. 100% cotton. They have a pocket in the shirt and yes deep pockets in the pants. Love the gross grain draw string too. I wash in cold water and hang to dry. I know, kind of crazy but they dry so. nice and crisp. 5’7” and 120 pounds. Size S. Size up if you want it super loose.

I typically love J. Crew poplin pajama sets. They're especially good if you sleep hot, but need something to wear that's more substantial than undergarments to bed. They are also great for lounging around the house. True to size, but I like a slouchy oversized fit, so at 155lbs, I ordered a Large. My issue with this set is purely about the print itself. The color of the stripes is dull; not a holiday bright cheerful red. Imagine you had a favorite pair of pajamas that were 20 years old & super faded because you laundered them every day or accidentally threw them into a weak solution of water & bleach. These are just like that. Sad to return, but looking at them makes me sad.

Love how these pajamas are a good quality fabric but breathable. I bought the family matching ones and the girl’s night gown is adorable. I’m a size 6/28 and would recommend sizing down. I originally purchased a medium but exchanged for a small. Super cute striped print for the holiday.

I only wear 100% cotton PJ's. These hot flashes and night sweats are brutal. Because of the material. They are very comfortable.!!! I always buy J.Crew PJ's when they're 100% cotton.
