Gathered pull-on pant in linen

I took a chance on these and I’m glad that I did. The weight of the linen is nice. The fact that they are lined is another plus. The structure of the pants dresses them up a bit. The elastic waist makes them versatile. The cut makes them forgiving. I purchased the white in a size small and they fit nicely. I do wish that the elastic at the ankles was tighter. For reference I am 5’6”, ~140 lbs, 29 jean size to accommodate my slight curves, 6-8 in trousers. Another worthy purchase and I recommend them.

I'm 5'4 and right now I am pretty solidly a size 10. I bought these in a medium and the legs are HUGE. I think if you are taller - maybe 5'8 or taller these will work for you, likely in your normal size. But if you are short they will either not work at all or you will need to size down. I carry weight in my mid-section and the waist (high) fits fine in the medium. Even though the waist is elastic, I'm not sure I can get away with sizing down. The legs are just so large and the cuff at the bottom makes the legs look overly billowy (and I like billowy pants). I bought the green and the color is GORGEOUS. The seam on the front leg is lovely. The material is not a scratchy linen. I wish J Crew offered free exchanges because I would definitely exchange for a small if I didn't have to pay $7.50 to return the medium and then $7.50 again if the small didn't work.

These are so comfy and look great on! wish there were more colors! Always looking for great white pants and find them! Not see through! I bought a couple of pairs. If you are in between small and medium, I would buy a small.
