Split-hem leggings in Italian ponte

Pants fit great, but zipper is awful. Back zipper is not fully sewn in and gets easily twisted. Seam also ripped easily below zipper as the construction is very poor. Pants are not tight at all, but I was frequently unable to zip the pants back up the first time I wore them. Not ideal for a long day of travel! So sad I paid so much money for them and they were on final sale. Super cute and comfortable, but the construction is cheap.

I have tried versions of the pixie pants a couple times and they were always too baggy in the lower legs and didn't fit like leggings on me. These ones fit perfectly in my normal size M, just like on the model - no bagginess anywhere (I'm a size 30 on bottom). Perfect for work or going out and about. The material is very nice. I agree the zipper on the back is a bit challenging to reach, but I am able to zip it. The only thing I would change is moving the zipper to the side or front to make it easier to zip. However, because they fit so well and I like the fabric, I will be buying more as I have been looking for a legging pant with high quality fabric and close fit for years and this is the best one I have found! J Crew, please make a cropped version for summer!

The ponte knit is nice and I like the ability to unzip the legs near the ankles. There is a small pocket inside in the back, on the right side (perhaps for a cell phone?)! I went up a size, but I should not have as they are too big in the waist, thighs, hips and baggy in the knees. The pants are true to size as I believe the XL would fit much better (my usual size). I do not plan to reorder due to the zipper in back. I was able to zip the pants more than half-way, but unable to finish even when holding the teeth of the zipper together...possibly a design flaw. If not for the issue with the zipper, I would reorder in my usual size.
