More stretch than I wanted
January 15, 2022It’s a good straight cut pant but stretchier and thinner material than I would have preferred.

Pants that are comfy!
January 13, 2022I'm 5'3, usually 150, but after the holidays I'm feeling extra fluffy. Size 30 fits comfortably, good stretch. Length falls right at ankle, good true straight leg. These run longer than the jeans with the same title/label. Got the adobe clay color, a great caramelly neutral. Might be a bit too roomy after I recover from the holidays. But now that I'm in my 40's, the best advice is "buy the bigger pants and relax"! Definitely recommend, especially at the sale price. Considering another color!

Inconsistent sizing, but great pants
January 10, 2022Based on the reviews, I took a chance and ordered the size 26, even though I'm a 27/size 4 for jeans, but 26/size 2 for pants (5'5", 122lbs, straight build). For these cords, I should have ordered the 27. The 26 fit, but they a bit more fitted than I was hoping for in the waist and hip area. The legs are more relaxed and straighter, similar to a straight pair of pants. Maybe they will stretch out a bit with wear. So difficult to find your right size since these are final sale, but I guess that's the trade off for the great price.

Finally
January 7, 2022Love LOVE these pants. Particularly because they are high rise. It was a risk buying because they were final sale. Bought them in black and the gold.

WHERE ARE THE 90S POCKETS THOUGH
January 7, 2022I lucked out on the fit of these pants, sizing down. They hug my butt nicely and the crotch isn't baggy at all. They fit me more tightly than this model, although some of the jeans in the 90s cut are modeled like how these cords fit me. I love the way they look, but when I reach my hand into these pockets I wilt. They are VERY short and shallow front pockets, pretty akin to what you'd find in cheap jeggings (when those pants actually have pockets). This doesn't just offend my constant desire for real pockets, it offends my knowledge of cut and pant needs. As folks have pointed out here or on other 90s cut pants reviews, this cut is GENEROUS in the crotch. NOTHING stretches too tight or cramps that region. Meaning there is no reason to scrimp on pockets, because anyone actually wearing the pants would have plenty of space to dig deep. This is a cut that absolutely has room for real pockets. Instead, J Crew opted for pockets exactly as deep as the chapstick pocket, about 4".

Beautiful new style & new fit on these cords!
December 29, 2021These are classic straight cords - a must have closet staple for cooler days! So comfortable, flattering & perfect for office, meetings or dinner with friends. They are true to size and actually fit my curvy body better then the older vintage cut which I had to size up in last year. Also love the rich black color.
