High-rise tapered pant in lightweight wool

I ordered these pants in size 2. They were small for a J.Crew size 2. They were so tight in the rise that I couldn't sit down!! If you sometimes have this problem with pants, don't buy these.

I was looking for a stylish, high waist pant to go with a cropped light green sweater set, and this I was ecstatic to find this gem. The fabric is such a beautiful plaid pattern in brown/navy for the fall, with a nice weight fabric (not too thick or thin), and a gorgeous fit. For reference, the size 00 fit perfectly; I'm 5'5" and 105 lbs. I love that the pant is easy to pair with tops and sweaters. Don't hesitate to get this!!

I love plaid pants and purchase at least one pair each fall from J. Crew. These pants have a clean men's wear style in a comfortable light weight wool and are fully lined. The fit is TTS, (I am 5'4", weigh 100 pounds and purchased a size 0). Unlike some J. Crew pants, these do have ample room in the hip and thigh if you are more of a pear shape gal like me. They also run long, as even though I will wear these pants with a two inch heel, I will need to have them shortened at least an inch.

I'm 5-2, so it needs to be hemmed, but otherwise it's perfect. Makes me look taller and thinner (most pants make me look shorter and heavier). Must be the tailoring. Wool/viscose/poly blend is not light, not heavy. Most importantly, it's not scratchy. Houndstooth is charming. Please make more of these pants in different colors! I would buy them all.

I prefer wool pants for when I need to appear professional (and I live in cold weather). I'm happy they are not "skinny" or "cigarette" style pants, so the pants are not skin tight. Much more appropriate. The fabric design is attractive and interesting - it can be worn with more complementary colors. The waist and length are perfect (I purchased in my usual size). Only negative thing about them: the pants are too tight in the upper thigh.

Brown in every shade is so on trend now. I was searching for wool pants in a dark brown shade and they were actually hard to find. Luckily J. Crew came through (again) with these fabulous pants: not only are they exactly the dark brown color I was looking for, the icing on the cake is the glen plaid pattern. I love the tapered fit. I love the material: wonderfully soft lightweight wool, not itchy at all. If you’re thinking they might not be warm enough for winter, think again: they’re lined and that extra layer makes the pants suitable for cold weather. The matching blazer is on its way to me too. Five stars! TTS, I sized up as I always do in high-rise pants. Had to have them shortened, as full length pants are always too long for me.
