Straight-leg pant in stretch velvet

I bought this in my normal size 6. The black velvet is quality material, love the straight leg. It said high rise but it was still below my belly button. 5'8" and I have a long torso so most things that say high rise I find fit more like a medium rise on me. Got my normal size 6. 26.5" waist, 37" hips and athletic/muscular thighs and booty. I do feel like my booty pulls it a little so if you're juicy, this may not be a good fit for you. It's somewhat stretchy so I felt it would still work for me, but it's not that stretchy. Any less and it would have pulled too much and been uncomfortable on the front waist. If you're more of a slender/straight build this will easily flatter. Nice enough to dress up with low heels but easy enough to go casual w/ flats. At my height I don't think a heel taller than 2.5-3" would work, flats are also fine though. Overall, great quality item but depends on your body type.

I am 0-2 in most Jcrew pants and after reading the reviews I ordered the 2 on a super sale ( final! ) I think they are quite ill fitted for my body type. I do love the fabric and color, which is why I gave it 3 stars but I think the cut it’s a bit off compared to other Jcrew pants. I did get the matching jacket in a size 2 which was a bit lose but it fits way better than the matching pants which I will be giving away. If I went up a size I think they will be bulging so these simply won’t work for me.

Everyone needs a well made pair of black velvet jeans! When you want to be just slightly more dressed up than just blue jeans put these on with a blouse of your choice. Would look great with everything from a graphic tee to a sexy lace blouse, etc. I think I’ll still have these 10 years from now. They are nice quality and made from substantial fabric. Gold button is an upgrade. Fit is TTS but slightly larger in the waist. I’m 5’4” and will have to hem them.

I ordered in pink and black. The color is true and as pictured. These offer little to no stretch. I wear a size 10 or 12 in JCREW. With these I recommend ordering your larger size. They are high waist. I like the color, feel and shape of these. Definitely worth purchasing.

I’m 5’6 and usually buy pants in short because I like them to hit at my ankle. Obviously these do not come in short. I haven’t worn a regular length in a while so maybe I don’t know what a regular inseam is like but these are very long. Like 3 inches too long. Even if I wore these with heels or boots they would unflattering fall over them. Just keep that in mind. As for sizing, I bought them in 27. I’m a 28/29 and intentionally bought them small as I’m trying to lose the Covid 19 and get back to my goal weight. Compared to other 27s I could actually pull them on (but not button) so I’m going to say these probably run big. All other 27s don’t come up past my thighs.

These pants are such high quality and SO beautiful BUT they run very large. I am 5'6" 104 lbs and purchased a 00 and they are huge. I purchased them final sale so I will have to find a friend to give them too. I highly recommend these if you get the right size!
