Bi-strech wool tapered pant in Black Watch tartan

I was pleasantly surprised by how well these pants fit me. Took my usual size (10), but they do look a bit baggy on the model. As some reviewers have noted, they are more fitted "in person." They fit well and look terrific. Thanks again, J Crew.

These are not proportionally similar to how fits the model. These are tight around the middle. Tight and fitted. I would have needed to order about 3 sizes larger for these to look even close to what they look like on the model. Which is frustrating. This happens a lot with pants. Customers can’t tell what size or length the model is wearing and is deceiving if think will be a similar fit. Otherwise is a nice pant. But is too tight for me, especially b/c is a pleated pant and that is not a good look when tight and puckers.

These. Pants. My favorite holiday pants ever and are low key enough preppy plaid to work throughout the year. A brilliant purchase and investment. And if you can get them on sale, bonus. These black watch tartan pants exude an understated sophistication and quality. I have a similar (but not exact match) J Crew Slim button down oxford blouse + school boy blazer from past years. And I knew I had to have these pants. I have a similar style pant but it's the low-rise, slim fit, skinny leg pant style. For now, I'm so over that skinny leg. These pants are high rise waist with front pleats and looser leg that tapers. A subtle and lovely style. They are lined (!!) and are not only chic but comfortable for work. Buy these already! And J Crew, please make more prints & styles in this pant, for holiday season and year-round.

Have you been on the fence about buying a suit? Get off that fence. Buy this suit. I am a curvy woman and wool and I usually don't get along. This suit is almost PERFECT. I am usually a size 16-18, but i ordered a 20 so that the wool would fall loosely. I will definitely need to get them tailored to make them longer and the waist smaller (hey JCrew, extend your Tall sizing because big ladies are tall too and i needed these in a tall!).

These pants are super! I have a hard time finding pants that fit. I am very much an hour glass shape. In wide leg paper bag style pants I typically take a J Crew size 4. In straight leg pants I take a J Crew size 8. I got these in a size 8. I have a little extra room in the waist but not bad. They make my hips look small. They are a nice weight wool. The plaid is very dark and muted, so it looks more sophisticated. I wear them with the black wool cropped cardigan J Crew is offering this season, a plain white button down shirt, a red square scarf around my neck, and flat black loafers. I get lots of complements. Very classic! J Crew, you are the best!

I bet I've searched for at least ten years for these!! They are so cozy, the fit is perfect, the pockets are roomy too. I wore them home after being sick in hospital for a week and I felt like a new woman!! Really truly love them.
