Finally, Silk Trouser
September 11, 2020Well carried out design and good quality. Runs big. Glad that I have read the reviews and bought one size down. The color is not quite as shown in the photo. I expected it to be more in brown, but it's more gold than brown. Would have given 5 starts if not for the color.

Size Down
September 2, 2020Beautiful Pant! ... Quality, style, value and the color is versatile matching many fitted/slim tops. I purchased final sale before any reviews were posted. I am a JC size 4 in everything; a size 2 would have been perfect. Follow reviewer advice and size down; for the price it's worth a trip to the tailor.

Could have been great... but was AWFUL
August 23, 2020I had high hopes for these because they’re silk, lined (SO hard to find!), and generally then”Collection” items seem like better quality. These missed the mark though. The lining is polyester, which clings and gets hot. The pockets are sewn on the side seam, not set in toward the front of the pant where they should be, so the bulkiest point of the fabric falls right on the outside of your hips and makes you look a lot wider than you are, then falls straight down from your low hip. They make you look like you gained 30 pounds. I would say they run a full size large, and the belt is too short to knot/tie, so you can’t use it to cinch the pants in. The only thing that isn’t huge is the length. I’m 5’7” and always buy regular length pants at J. Crew (between 00 and 0), but these fit more like a cropped wide leg. The description says the regular length has a 29.5” inseam but mine measured 28”. Just such a terrible miss on all fronts.

Shimmery and flowy
August 17, 2020After reading the other reviews I did buy a 2 instead of a 4, either might fit depending on the cut. They fit perfectly in the waist, and I even like the matching belt they came with (I usually don’t) But these are a wide cut, and they drape like silk curtains, giving them an interesting look. I have to wear them with something fitted and tucked-in on top to keep from looking like a Hobo. But these are lovely with a slim-cut blouse and fitted blazer. I went with a black blazer and a collarless white poplin shirt for a professional look. I also noticed red and navy look great with these.5

Great pants, run a bit large
August 14, 2020These are gorgeous. The color is beautiful, and it's great to find fully lined, tailored trousers for a great price. These do run a bit large, but not a full size large, in my opinion. I am typically between a 2 and 4 in J Crew pants and ordered a 4 because these were final sale (and I wanted to be on the safe side). They are an inch or two too big in the waist. You can cinch them quite a bit with the belt, but there is so much material at the waist that they bunch up weirdly when I do that. I would exchange these for a 2 if they weren't final sale, but as it is, I like them so much I'll just have my tailor take them in a bit at the waist.
