Wide-leg pleated pant in wool

These are my favorite pants. I am hourglass shaped with a tiny waist - that means I actually have hips. It is so hard to find pants that actually hug my waist yet still fit in the leg. These look so good on. They highlight my waist with the relaxed leg! The material is fabulous too! Wool is the best. It's natural and warm! There is no weird stretching or the pants becoming loose and out of shape as I wear them. Make more of these!!

I ordered a size up based on other reviews and dang it but the pants are too large. Because these are "big" pants, wearing them in a too-large version isn't an option. The fabric is really thick and substantial, so the wide leg stays really wide. These are beautiful pants, but I would call them statement pants. They might work for you or they might not.

Love the heathered plum, as it coordinates with so many colors. Based on the high-waisted, retro menswear style, it fits true to my usual size. I didn’t find the wool to be unusually itchy - it’s like a donegal weave. A petite option would have been better for me in both length and rise.

I love these! I have the blue and they are fully lined. Just gorgeous and warm. Love the high waist with a black t neck. The color is just fabulous!

I love these pants. The quality is very good, with quality fabric used and it doesn't seem like it will wear out very quickly. The mulburry color is lovely, with speckles of plum, purple and even light blue. I can wear so many tops with these pants. The only disappointing feature is that I had to have the pants shortened because I am petite. I would appreciate being able to buy the higher end jcrew clothing without having to have every item altered to fit my shorter stature. Jcrew, if you can make petite for some items, why not for all?

I fell in love with the sky blue colorway! These wide legs pants also reminded me of a similar pant in gray tweed that I bought six years ago. So I was going to order it...and then I read the reviews...these pants are obviously love or hate! In the end I decided to order them. Based on the measurements provided by Customer Service I sized up because of the high rise. And they are a perfect fit. They drape nicely too, not too much material In the hip area which is always a potential risk with pleated pants. So I’m glad I ordered them but...the wool is indeed a bit scratchy as other reviewers have also remarked. My older gray tweed pants are so much softer! Luckily the pants are lined so they don’t feel itchy. However, quality should be better given the price point.
