Button-back linen tank top

I absolutely loved this piece. It was great for working from home. Super comfortable and elegant. I got it in pink and black, and I regret not getting another black one.

Yes, the buttons are nice. And the linen is good for summery weather... HOWEVER, It shrunk up after washing (cold, delicate, damp dry and hang), so the bottom hem hangs shorter and the tank looks boxier than when I first tried it on. For reference, I'm 5'6" and ~150, with broad shoulders, short-ish torso, and a straight frame. (I would not recommend putting this one in the dryer... probably a bad choice on my part considering it's linen.) But the worst part is the arm holes. They are HUGE. I had to change bras in order to wear it out of the house. It showed about 1.5 inches of nude bra fabric from underneath. I switched to a black bra with less coverage underneath the black tank, and it worked fine for beers at the tavern, but definitely not the look I would go for if dressing for work.

Reference: 145 lbs., 5' 2", apple shape with long torso. Typically wear M or Petite M in tops. Ordered in size M. Linen is lightweight, I personally love the buttons on the back, as they add some personality to the top. Purchased in white and also in black; the white is not as opaque as I would prefer and a lining may have helped? I do love the black. The cut is a little tighter across the chest, but not enough that I would return. Plan to wear with cotton midi skirts and culottes.

I thought this would be the perfect summer/fall white linen shell to wear with work clothes or dress up jeans or shorts. I have I'll admit multiple colors of the linen dress it's modeled after and love them. But this white shell is completely see through. Not oh you'll be fine if you were a nude bra see-through, but oh look you can see the stitching on your bra kind of see through. The see-through nature of the shell renders it completely useless as a mid-summer early fall top, because the only way it could be worn is with another layer underneath it. And that kind of defeats the whole concept of beating the heat. Unless you've got a bustier/bra you've always wanted everyone to see, I'd avoid this.

Great quality linen piece, wrinkles in the wash but easily steamed or ironed. I sized up and enjoy the slightly looser/breezier fit in the summertime but I'd say it's true to size. If you are bustier or have wider shoulders you may want to size up as their is no give to the fabric and it may be hard to get on/off. I purchased the flax, black and white. White is slightly see-thru but fine with a nude bra.
