Not a fan of the cupro fabric
June 1, 2023This is the first (and last) time I'll purchased anything made from the cupro material - it reminds me of a fabric shower curtain liner, a little shiny and not smooth. I washed it on the gentle cycle with no shrinking issues but the fabric is definitely not wrinkle-free. I will likely only wear it under a sweater or jacket for the cute ruffle detail at the neck since it would require ironing (for me) to wear it solo. Generally seemed TTS except the sleeve opening was oddly tight: ordered my usual JCrew XXS in Ivory and for reference, I am 5'4"/108#/32A.

April 25, 2023I thought this looked gorgeous online. I debated between the ivory color and the blue stripe. I went for ivory. It fit TTS, and the look was pretty cute. But, first and foremost, J. Crew is kidding itself that Cupro is a "sustainable" fabric (just look up how it's made). Basically, it's a way of using scraps of fabric to create a pseudo-silky fabric that's cheaper than just using silk. So, like other brands, they're green-washing their cheapness. Second, it wrinkles INSANELY. I tried it on for not more than 5 minutes and it wrinkled so much it looked awful. Also, it was basically transparent because the fabric is so thin. Returned.

Perfect all-round creamy-white shirt
December 14, 2022I love this shirt! I bought first in the green pin-striped earlier in fall. Luckily I was traveling so able to be in a store to try on the first one for correct size. This one is a classic fit; the fabric is soft and silky; looks great on own or under sweaters and jackets. The sizing and quality is so wacky for all retailers at this point ordering online is hard even from your regular brands. For reference, I’m 5’5”, 138lb. and size small fit perfect in both solid and striped shirt.
