It all starts with the beautiful fabric, the viscose crepe is substantial without being heavy, it is soft and has that expensive-looking crepe texture. Spectacular! It has the perfect neckline, great for showcasing jewelry or for framing your face.

Cute for work
June 11, 2025This top looked great on- flattering and polished. Love it. My only complaint- I managed to tear the little button loop at the back of the neck, so it needs a little patch-up. Beware schlepping heavy shoulder bags that pull at the neckline, but otherwise, great top

I Loved This So Much the First Time I Tried It On
May 27, 2025I loved this so much when I first tried it on — it fit me perfectly. I’m in between sizes and went with the size up after reading the reviews, and it was just right. I couldn’t wait to wash and wear it. But after one wash (cold, delicate cycle), it shrank and now it doesn’t fit anymore. I haven’t wear it even once. I’m so upset. It’s a final sale, so I can’t return it. That’s how much I loved it — I went ahead just now and ordered another one in a different color. But I’m not sure… maybe I just shouldn’t wash it at all?

Arms too long
May 5, 2025This is a fine dress shirt but I forgot that J Crew dress shirts aren't made for shorter women who don't have the wing span of big bird. Can't return it so hopefully will be able to sell it or something. I need to stop relying on J Crew's "final sale" non-returnable trick. Way too often things are made poorly and don't fit properly.

The worst purchase ever!
April 27, 2025I bought this in January but didn’t get a chance to wear it. Now that it’s finally warm, I took it out, washed it, and was excited to put it on—only to discover that the cinched detail on one side is completely open and loose (see image below). I never expected J.Crew to have such poor quality. Since it was a final sale and some time has passed, I’m now stuck with a shirt that I never wore and never will wear. Very disappointing!

Glad I purchased it finally
April 16, 2025This is a pretty, basic and worthwhile black blouse. I can’t believe the size 2 fits fine. I’m 5’5” and 118-120lbs. I took a gamble as I would have chose a 4 or even 6. I am slender and small chested. I do not find it cheap nor overly sheer. I think the cut is fabulous and it can be worn all year. If you need a variety of black tops, this is a great choice at an excellent price.
