Ruffle-trim top in stripe

This shirt is pretty, goes well with either shorts, jeans, chinos, etc., it’s a comfortable, light-weight shirt that’s perfect for spring and summer, and the ruffles around neck and sleeve add a little something special to the look. I have this style shirt in several colors/patterns and I’m very happy with them. For reference, I am 5’5”, 123lbs, 26in waist, and I’ve bought this style shirt from JCrew in both XS and SM. I decide which to wear based on the look I want.

I have a few of these light and breezy tops. I think many of JCrew’s clothing runs a whole size or half a size larger (if there only existed half sizes, lol), so I bought this in an xs. For reference, I’m 5’5”, 26 inch waist, 123lbs. These tops are thin, in a good way, but not sheer. They are perfect for hot days. I usually wear these tops with white denim jeans or white chino shorts, depending on how hot it is outside. I wasn’t sure how the ruffles around the collar and arms would look and lay, but I was pleasantly surprised that I don’t look like a lady from Victorian England with ruffles around my neck! The ruffles give the simple top a little flare. I have the pale lavender and white stripe and the yellow with the white flowers outlined in a purplish-burgundy and soft pink. If you’re not standing right next to the person wearing the yellow top, you wouldn’t notice the flowers. I actually bought two of the lavender a white striped top in XS; anyone want it?

Runs very large. I usually wear an XS. I ordered an XS abs the arm holes are huge and it’s super wide. It’s was final sale so I had it altered. If not I Woukd have returned.

I was walking out of the store and saw this on a mannequin and it looked so cute. Tried it on and I was sold. It’s light and breezy and super cute. It can be easily paired with anything. For reference I tried on the Small and it was too big and was overwhelmed with the ruffles. I sized down to a XS and it was perfect. For reference I’m 5’6 and I weigh 125. This is a must have for summer! You’ll thank me.
