Ruffle V-neck top in floral vine block print

This one on sale for a while, not want it that bad. But I am happy finally I made my mind to get it. The material is soooo soft, and its more lovely when in person. I can't wait to wear it this summer.

This top is cute for the summer but runs super big!!!

I love this top! It’s super feminine and of a very good quality! I normally order size X but sized down for this one and the fit is perfect.

I sized down from my usual medium to a small and it fits perfectly. I am 5'7", 122 lbs, average build, 36C. I have a whole closetful of J Crew and this is one of my fav items. However, the photography leaves a lot to be desired because the model and the garment are very over-lit in all four photos. You can tell because her skin has very very light highlights compared to her skin in the shadows. The true color of the shirt is what you see in the shadow areas, which I find to be more appealing because it does not look as washed out or cheap. The other big issue is that if you look carefully, you will see how they folded in/under a lot of extra fabric for the gathered top area. It sticks up a lot more at the outside of the shoulders when it is on you or when you lay it flat. I will try ironing a few pleats in that area to make it lay/look better, or sew a tuck right at the top of both shoulders (leaving the neckline area as is).

The blouse is a beautiful cut, it’s feminine, the colors are just right, and it can be worn to work but yet has just a little more that makes it sexy. I should have sized down as the shoulders tend to slide off. But i love the crisp blousy bodice. I had small darts tucked at the top of the shoulder and that alleviated the problem. It fits beautifully now. I only wish I had ordered more!
