Tie-neck lace top

True white color and the embroidery is beautiful. Hits right below waist.

I followed the fit guide, got steered toward a bad fit. That feature of the website does not reflect a real body. Sadly, by the time the size I ordered based on the guide arrived (XS), the correct size had sold out. Not sure who j crew makes blouses for because I continue to experience a poor fit across my shoulders. This blouse is gorgeous & tailored more for a tiny Victorian woman who never lifts anything heavier than a silver spoon or, perhaps, an embroidered needle. Please, start taking the modern woman into account when considering the need for us to move our strong, muscular upper bodies. Do keep the all cotton white blouses with interesting details coming, especially Victorian designs adjusted for the 21st century. Lace? Oh, my. Neck ties? Oh, my. Just enough details on this blouse to keep from looking cutesy or insipid. How about one less boxy, tapered to show off the waists many of us have as a result of exercising? Would welcome more of these & some in black, sky blue.

After taking a closer look, and reading the reviews, I ordered this lovely, beautifully made blouse. Got the size recommended by "True Fit" - a Medium (I'm a size 10 in JCrew shirts), and the fit is fine. It is not real long, but that's fine too, actually, and I like the style:: it's a flattering cut. Very beautiful blouse. Versatile, as they say, dress up or down, but I think I'll save it for a bit on the dressy side. It'd look terrific under a jacket.
