Very close to the size chart
June 26, 2024I looked at the size chart and took my measurements for figuring out which size would fit. Originally I went off reviewers who said this skirt was 2 to 3 sizes too small; maybe they were basing that off of what size they usually wear? I typically wear sizes 30 or 31 in J crew jeans and a size 10 or maybe a 12 in dresses. At first I bought size 16 and 14 (too big!) before I finally bought a size 12. I'm 5'9", athletic, 175#, 39×32×43. That means the skirt's waist literally fits within a half inch of size 12 in the written chart, with more room ( one and a half inches) in the butt/hips. My point is don't go off your "usual" size: take your measurements and reference the provided size chart.

Good quality and style
June 6, 2024This skirt seemed to be of good quality, but sizing is tricky. I actually wear 00 or XXS in skirts from Jcrew, but I got 0 for this one and it seemed a bit tight. It is also short so size up.

Size up!!!
April 29, 2024Chiming in to agree with the sizing comments. I usually wear a 6/8 in dresses or 27/28 in jeans. The Size 10 in this skirt just fits me. Could even have worn a 12. I have a straight, boxy, athletic figure. This is J. Crew collection so the material is high quality and construction feels expensive. Even sizing up it is quite short. I will wear as a winter party outfit with tights like in the photo.

Run short
April 6, 2024Definitely runs small. I'm usually a 4, but I bought the 6 and 8, hoping one would fit. I carry my weight on my bottom so the 8 fit perfectly, but the 6 was way to short. It stopped about two inches below my butox. However, the waist was about the same on both skirts, about an inch off each other. Overall I'm happy going 2 sizes up, plus the quality is nice.
