Seaside short in Liberty® Phoebe floral

LOVE the lining, love the print, love the pockets, love these shorts. Very unique, which is good considering they were pricier for shorts. Re: sizing, I'm 5'5, 125 lbs with more weight in my rear/thighs than top (though nothing crazy), and I am a consistent size 6 in shorts/skirts, however, these looked tighter on the model's rear in the photo, and they were 100% cotton, so I sized up to a medium. Uh, they're looser but not crazy. I could have gone with my usual Small, but given I had one shot at ordering -- they were selling out fast -- I went with my larger bottom size and am going to be just fine thanks to the drawstring waist. Sure, they'll be more comfy/looser but nothing crazy. Especially post-wash given 100% cotton. Thus, I'd say TTS in general since I am a usual 6/Small and could have worn that here but have gone up to Medium on rare occasions.

I agree with the other reviewer here. They are beautiful but sizing is way off. I’m a size 2/4 in most clothes but am finding with Jcrew these days I have to order an XXS! I’m not stick thin and can only assume there are people who have been “sized out” of shopping here altogether. Wish sizing was more consistent with universal standards. The print is very pretty though and unfortunately the smallest size is also sold out so I can’t exchange.

These shorts are ADORABLE and very very well made -- they're lined! However, they're really big. For reference, I'm 5'4, 120 lbs, and got the small and could have DEFINITELY gone down a size, maybe two. 20 years ago, these shorts would have been a size 8. They're vanity sized for sure. (I am NOT an XS and that's okay!) The legs are very wide, also, almost billowy? (I say this as a woman who is muscular of thigh, also.) Anyway, they're very cute but get a smaller size than you think.
