Fits big based on
7 customer reviewsWhat customers are saying:
Customers generally liked the soft, airy silk and the relaxed, polished look, saying these shorts feel easy and chic for summer outfits. A few customers found the fit ran large, so sizing down seems worth considering, though some said their usual size worked well. There were some notes that the fabric and construction felt less refined than expected, with a rougher hand and occasional issues with drape or stitching, but several customers still felt the style and comfort made them a good warm-weather option.

like boxing shorts
December 2, 2021these fit nothing like they do on the model; maybe because I'm only 5'6 but they were blousy in all the worst ways yet somehow tight in some ways too, so going down a size wouldn't have helped. They just look weird and unflattering. Super bummed they were final sale (absolutely hate that j.crew does that).

Light, airy shorts
November 16, 2021I bought these in the navy in my usual medium size and they fit great. The silk was not the best quality I’ve seen from J. Crew but I love the sand washed look. They are high waisted and a long inseam so these could lean into the grandma shorts territory but they will look so cute in the summer with a cropped tee or a shirt tied at the waist. An easy way to make a simple, chic summer outfit.

Meh
October 20, 2021The material is slightly rough for something that is 100% silk. Very loose flowy material that almost looks like a skirt. The shorts are a bit too long for my liking
