Slim bermuda short in bi-stretch cotton

I thought slim meant these would fit close to the thigh but the fit is the typically dumpy wide leg bermuda. Not at all like the name says. It is no wonder it is not shown on a model. It is final sale so I wasted my money.

First, these shorts look great on - they are a perfect length for work or dressy occasions. I normally wear a 6 in J Crew shorts but these are a tad snug. The fabric does stretch but I don’t like the feel if it - it is stiff & shiny, & feels more like poly than cotton, which is only 52%. My biggest complaint is that they sewed the pockets shut! Why?! The pockets are there, you just can’t open them. As these are final sale, l’m disappointed. I can try to see if I can open up the pockets without disassembling the shorts, but why should I have to? NOT the usual J Crew quality!

Nice quality fabric, but shorts run large at waistline. I should have sized down for a perfect fit. I hope that I can shrink in the dryer, as I bought final sale. Also, the front and back pockets are all sewn completely shut.
