Crochet-trim sweater-jacket

Love this sweater jacket but the fabric will make you itch like crazy! In the photo the model has a denim shirt layer underneath. I suggest that it is worn in the same way if you don’t want to scratch at yourself all day. That’s the only negative about this beautiful sweater...size down one size, it runs large.

Yes this is a cardigan. I normally wear a large in Jcrew but ordered a medium and it’s perfect. I would’ve preferred a little tapering but it’s a keeper because emerald is my favorite color and it’s very classy!

It's absolutely criminal how much JCrew is charging for this thin sweater made of mostly acrylic. As a result, it's scratchy and uncomfortable to wear. Forget about layering it over anything sleeveless or short-sleeved - you're going to need a turtleneck or button-up blouse to protect your skin from this fabric. It's also very thin, so definitely more of a layering cardigan than a structured sweater-blazer hybrid. The buttons are difficult to remove from the buttonholes since they're round (they're shaped like bells). Although the stock description states this garment is fitted, I thought it was cut rather wide and boxy. Unfortunately, I ordered based on this description and sized up to a medium when a small would've been a better fit. I'm 5'4 and usually a size medium/8 but size down to small/6 in Jcrew. I ordered this cardigan in the green and although the colors were beautiful, I found the cut and fabric of this to be lacking.

“True Fit” is letting me down- this does run quite big. (And now Medium is out of stock, so I either have to keep the too big size Large or return it.) This jacket in green is lovely. I like the buttons- but agree with another reviewer that it seems that they are easily lost and it comes with no extra buttons, so if you lose one, you’ll have to replace them all or retire the jacket. If you pick the right size, it is a super cute jacket.

I purchased this item in both colors. It runs large and has a boxy fit. The quality is poor. It is thin and significantly itchy. The buttons are cheap and feel as though they will fall off within a short time frame.
