Open cardigan sweater in linen blend

This is a good quality sweater. I bought the lavender color. Got it on a deep sale along with the Peyton black linen pants. The color gives the black pants a subtle pop of color. It runs big. I’m usually a small or medium in tops. The S was big and sleeves were long. I got the XS and it’s perfect with plenty of room. It’s still warm in my area so I can wear it at least till end of September.

I purchased this beautiful sweater in violet and always receive compliments when I wear it. The material is perfect for summer, worn over a sleeveless dress for the office to great effect. Highly recommend!

So...this sweater is not terrible, if you're not particularly interested in it because it's linen. It doesn't seem to be poorly made. I can't speak on wear because I returned mine. It fits true to size, for a long drapey look that the model is sporting. If you want it more fitted, size down. Now with that said, it gets a low rating from me because I wanted it to feel and act like linen. Even though it's mostly linen, I believe 64 or 66%, the synthetic fibers dominate. This sweater is incredibly heavy. It has the linen look from a distance, but it drapes heavy like a fully synthetic sweater and it's not going to be light and breezy for summer days when you want something to protect you from the sun and provide a little warmth from the evening chill. Full price this sweater is absolutely not worth it. 50% off the sale price is about right for what it is. It's unfortunate because the light pond color is very pretty.

I usually wear a size small in JCrew tops, but they did not have this sweater in a small at the store. Surprisingly the XS fit just fine. The fabric is very light and has little nubs from the linen used in the weave. It looks great with just a tank under it with shorts and sandals. Perfect light sweater for the summer.
