Sparkly Sophie open-front sweater blazer

I recommend buyers size down on this one. The size small that I bought in this sparkly version was a lot larger than the size small I bought in the regular Sophie sweater-blazer. I had to roll up the sleeves on this sparkly one, whereas the sleeves on the cotton-blend Sophie hit me at the wrist (I have short arms). I also have the petite size small in the merino wool version, which fits smaller than either of those and has sleeves that hit me above the wrist, as this design is meant to fit. So, I'm a little confused about the sizing and I wish I could return the small for a XS, but it was a final sale item. Please make petite sizes in the cotton-blend version, J. Crew!

Some of these reviewers seem a bit "sparkle averse" so I will preface this review by noting it is one offered by more of a "sparkle groupie." I bought this in black because it looked festive for the holidays, but it was so much more than a seasonal piece. I love it with the collar popped and feel comfortable wearing it to my office, a party, or over yoga pants. I love it so and ultimately had to buy it in silver as well. The silver WOWs a little less than the black, but sometimes we may want to wow in lowercase. It's enormous, though. I am 5'4, 125 lbs and the XXS is a comfortable loose fit.

I love my tan sweater blazer and thought this one might be nice and fun for the holidays. The fit is great, but the sparkles are really out there. I’ll get a lot of wear out of this during my magician phase.

I have the black and gold color. It’s really easy to wear. Nice to just throw on to make you look more put together. Had to size down because it does run large.

It looks so much better on than it does in the picture! Soft,drapey, not at all matronly, as the boxy look in the picture might suggest. It works so many different ways for the holidays-crepe pants and silky shell or shirt with jeans. Love it.
