Featherweight cashmere slim crewneck sweater

I was thrilled with sweater at first--soft, nice color, nice cut-- but it pilled badly after just a few wearings. Thought I could then wear it as a layering piece but after just a few more wearings it has stretched out so much that it is unwearable, unattractive. Total waste of money. I've been a happy J .Crew customer for decades. This is the only item I've ever had where the quality was terrible.

For a ribbed, lightweight cashmere sweater, this is great. It's a slim fit, so I sized up. It's an undeniable steal on sale. Like all cashmere, it needs a little care with a sweater brush from time to time. The ribbing might add a bit to that, however; the tradeoff of the lovely texture that feels nice and adds visual interest is fair to me. Thanks for another great cashmere option in beautiful colors, J.Crew!

I couldn’t wait until I opened the package, but wished I had listened to the previous reviewer’s comments about the color. This sweater is not pink at all; it’s much more purple or even a dark orchid shade. The style and the color were what caught my eye, but in a neutral color, there is nothing special or unique about it. I already own two J. Crew cashmere sweaters from last year that are more purple, so this one is going back.

I agree w/ another reviewer who complained about the shedding. This sweater is almost perfect if not for the shedding. It really doesn't take much- just sitting at my computer causes tons of pilling under my arm.

I bought this in the natural color. It is soft, comfortable, and I would wear it often EXCEPT the fabric is very poor quality. I have worn it twice. I don't know if it'll make it through another day. The pilling and shedding is just awful. Fortunately, I keep a lint roller in my desk drawer or I would have looked a mess at work all day.
