Pills terribly on first wear
March 1, 2022There is massive pilling on first wear, which looks unkempt and unattractive. I’ve never had cashmere come apart like this. Not worth the money, not even on sale. Not the quality I expected from J. Crew.

Buyer beware
February 7, 2022Wanted to love this, the waffle knit seemed so soft yet structured. After a couple hours of wearing, the sweater turned into a loose, slippery mess with epic pilling and shedding, way beyond any norm for cashmere. It's a magnet for lint and the texture feels greasy. The pilling and loss of structure make you feel sad and schlumpy wearing this. The fit just disappeared entirely. J Crew what happened?

Sheds & pills constantly
January 31, 2022This sweater is super soft and very cute but even taking it out of the package, it started to shed. The shedding got worse the first time I wore it and it pilled immediately and significantly. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon with other J Crew cashmere items, of which I have a lot, but this sweater is somewhat worse than others. Please, please, please, J. Crew, fix this problem!

Cute but beware
January 22, 2022Ran a bit small for me, I sized up 1 size and it was a perfect fit. Style was great, very cozy but seriously, this sweater sheds/pills. I stupidly wore it for the 1st time with black jeans- I looked like a lint trap after a few hours, so embarrassing. I am going to try and comb it/ hand wash it and give it another try. So be careful wearing it or at least dress in tonal shades!

a nice sweater
January 10, 2022Yes it pills, but after a wear or two, it's good. I like the waffle design. Bought my usual size s, and it's roomy, but, I like wearing a turtleneck underneath on colder days, and do not mind the roominess. It's a thinner material, but still warm.

Sheds like crazy and pills easily.
December 29, 2021I had high hopes for this sweater. In fact, I’m wearing it now as I type this. I was disappointed, however, after putting it on and wearing it after only a couple of hours. It sheds all over the place. My suit jacket and pants are covered in pale gray fluff. I’ve already borrowed a heavy duty lint brush from a co-worker, and will need to de-lint again soon. And its covered in pills, too. The yarn is very soft and the style of this is cute, but I don’t think I would have purchased this had I known this in advance. Everything made of cloth that has come in contact with this sweater invariably gets doused with pale gray fluff…not a good look and a pain to maintain. Buyer beware!
