Mockneck sweater in cotton blend

I have a penchant for ivory colored sweaters for some reason. When this went on sale, even though it was final sale, I couldn’t resist getting it. The sale price was worth the risk if I ended up not liking it. Thankfully I love it! I might even prefer it over my ivory rollneck sweater. It’s a boxy fit and a bit on the shorter side, but I actually love the cut. And the mockneck is close fitting, not loose, which works well with the boxier, looser fit. I’m 5ft 6 1/2 in tall, 130lbs, 34B bust and I purchased size small. I haven’t washed this sweater yet, so I can’t give feedback on how it looks after it’s been washed, but I have a feeling it will wash well. The only thing I don’t love is it’s not as soft as the roll neck sweaters, which are 100% cotton whereas this sweater is 63% cotton, 37% polyamide. It’s not itchy by any means. It’s just not as soft as 100% cotton - but it’s not a deal breaker. I’ll be wearing this in fall, winter and spring. Very happy with this purchase.

i think i like this better than my jcrew cotton rollneck! sweater is roomy and will slightly stretch out. i usually size up and buy a large sweater for extra roominess. in this case, i kept with the medium and it is roomy as is.

I purchased beige and again black color too. Love it. Slightly bigger size. Quality is great. Love it.

I have the natural one and am buying the black (but only on super-sale). The yarn used is predominantly cotton but the fibers are bound by the poly. One review talks about having to cut tons of fine fibers from the sweater: that's the poly fibers. It's annoying but I don't think it will destroy the sweater overall. I do think the chunkiness of the yarn may result in some more traditional pulling. Otherwise, it's a great sweater. It's huge- and I like huge but this is really over-sized although I believe a good machine wash and dry will take it back to where I like it best.

For me, this style is just too wide. I love the feel of this sweater, and if you like it extra wide, this is for you. quality is great, just like all J. Crew clothing. This style just wasn’t for me.

comfy sweater. i wear it a lot! sometimes i roll the collar. i wish the material was a little softer. 4/5 for sure
