Wrap sweater

This is such a pretty sweater. I purchased it in my usual size. It is a perfect ballet pink. Unlike the sweaters I wore for ballet, this wrap is not skin tight. It blouses a bit and there is a lot of play in how it can wrap, position on your waist, and tie. I am wearing it over the cropped velvet jumpsuit.

I have been looking for a black ballet wrap sweater for forever, to wear with work dresses, pencil skirts and high waisted trousers that don't look good with blazers or other types of tops. This sweater fits the bill; it's soft, fitted but not tight (I took my normal tippi sweater size small), and the arms are decently long. It is a thin fabric, but I think that looks good in this style, to wear with more fitted bottoms. The only thing I would have changed is skipping the holes to put the ties through altogether; they are awkwardly high, and the sweater looks better just wrapped at the bottom, but then you have a gaping hole in the side. I may ask a tailor to just sew those shut. Jcrew I would love to see more ballet wrap style tops, particularly designed to go with more formal work clothes (please no ruffles or other 'embellishments'; please no more ruffles in general).

This is a lovely sweater. I love the color which is a soft apricot and the material is very soft. It is slightly see through and I feel more comfortable wearing a cami underneath it. overall I like the purchase. A perfect light sweater.

I am usually a small or medium in JCrew, I purchased in a medium and it "fits". However, it is too thin and much too cropped. No amount of readjusting could make it look good. Unfortunately, this is going back.

Beautiful soft sweater and it is very comfortable. Pairs beautiful with wide leg Tahoe jean or skinny jeans. Love it.

I had purchased the Mercantile Bell-sleeve wrap sweater which is a lovely color and great weight, even for the cold months. However, without a true 'wrap' it wouldn't stay closed so I was excited to see this sweater in a similar pink that actually wraps. Unfortunately, this sweater is so thin, almost see-through, and the placement of hole where the tie goes seems to be a bit high, making the look seem a bit "off".
