What customers are saying:
Customers really embraced the sweater coat’s standout design, especially the versatile attached scarf and contrasting piping that add a fun, chic touch. Many appreciated how soft, warm, and cozy the fabric is, making it a great piece for transitional weather and layering. A few customers suggested opting for a different size since the coat tends to run a bit large, which might better suit personal layering preferences. Overall, customers enjoyed the unique, practical details and stylish look of this sweater coat.

Surprisingly versatile - looks great
December 16, 2021Love it! Really excited. Great weight. High quality wool but not too itchy. The scarf aspect is way more versatile than the photos lead you to believe. It easily lays on the jacket, so more of a large disconnected label look. Really fun, warm, perfect for fall. Like all of JCrew recently - sizes run really large. But still looks great.

Chic and Fashion-forward!
December 16, 2021I purchased the Black with white (more like ivory) and I cannot wait to wear it out. The attached scarf gives this long sweater a very sophisticated feel. I absolutely love that it has multiple buttons and pockets too, which make it very practical and easy to wear. My Jcrew recommended size was a S/M, but I went with an XS/S after reading the reviews and I am really glad I did. I tried it on over a heavy sweater and there is still room for more! I am in California so it is the perfect weight, I definitely would not wear this as a coat in the east coast. I could see myself wearing this a lot because it is unique and a statement piece!

updating previous review
December 12, 2021The black-and-white just arrived, and I actually love it even more than the tan-and-black. If I had to pick only one, I would keep the black-and-white. It's classic. Plus, so soft. The perfect throw on for a plane ride, day where the office is blasting A/C, shopping at an outdoor mall (where a bulky coat would be too much to lug in and out of stores), etc.

beautiful
December 2, 2021Yes, this is slightly more bulky in its style, so it's not going to give you a svelte look. It's definitely a fall into winter indoor-outdoor transition piece. I purchased this in the tan-and-black based on other reviews, and I really like it! Have no clue what the other reviews are complaining about re: the attached scarf -- it's truly awesome and functions exactly as you would think it would: you either can leave it hanging on either side or wrapped across one side or wrapped across both. It's a brilliant design feature. Really appreciate the contrast piping and buttons. I'm a solid J.Crew 6, and the Small/Medium was perfect. Again, it looks very minorly bulky on but that's the whole style here. I'm going to keep an eye out for the black-and-white to go on sale since that has more of a Coco C vibe.

Pass
November 21, 2021The knit is too lose and too heavy to be neither a coat nor a sweater-jacket. I like the idea and especially the piping, but the rest is a no. It is also itchy. Return.

Completely fun
November 5, 2021Jacket! Love the scarf like features. Very fun. Definitely oversized. Even with the xs/s, still kind of big but not a deal breaker. Everyone complements me when I wear it.
