Good Alternative to a Jacket
January 12, 2024This sweater is perfect with a silk tank, t-shirt, white shirt and more. So versatile I wear mostly closed with two hooks. I have 2 complaints: first it’s longer than the other lady jackets which I would have preferred short. Second the hooks are very hard to catch and undo. Buttons would have been easier. otherwise this is a great year round item.

Beautiful, and hope it holds up
October 18, 2023I ended up purchasing and returning this having to size down due to the over all larger size; I usually wear a small sometime XS. I needed the XXS in this to have it fit as the shown model styling. It’s very pretty, however it’s debatable if it will hold up given the quality. The fabric clasps that button it up are sketchy. I can already imagine the snagging issues which is why I question its longevity. As I type this I decided to remove a star in my overall rating~ it’s a 3, not a 4. So darn sexy/fun that I’m keeping and hoping JCrew has me not regret :)

Too bulky!
October 1, 2023I had high hopes for this as it looks amazing on the model. Alas, it’s super thick, the loopy fringe makes me feel like I’m wearing a bath mat, and the hook and eye closures are impossible to undo. The sweater is heavy. Really heavy. Unnecessarily heavy and bulky. And the sleeves are 2” too long. This would be super cute in a natural light weight fabric with 3/4 sleeves. The sweater is being returned.

I love almost everything about this
September 28, 2023I just got this in black. I love the way it looks and fits but there are a couple things that are not quite perfect. The fabric snags very easily. I was putting it on and the little closure hook caught on the front. The loopy fringe is not even. There was one loop that was an inch longer than the rest. I don't mind that this is mostly synthetic fiber ( the cotton/merino wool/ poly blend is just the pocket linings, the sweater itself is a small amount of cotton and synthetic.) I don't understand why it is so heavy. Really, it feels like it weighs about five lbs.. I don't know if this would be uncomfortable to wear. I have mixed feelings. I'll sleep on it and maybe try it on again but I think it's headed back.

Absurdly long sleeves
September 24, 2023Sadly, this was a no for me. The sleeves are very long and this isn’t conducive to pushing up the sleeves. I’m not sure how it’s called a jacket, it’s more dressy cardigan than anything. I also couldn’t get the hook and eye closed—really frustrating. Even if it fit perfectly, that would have been enough for me to say no. I don’t want to get annoyed getting dressed.

Pleasantly surprised!
September 23, 2023I actual sized down to a medium in the pale bone. I haven’t worn yet but believe this will stretch out slightly and it fits perfect now. I’m normally a L, but accessing the knit decided it’s of stretchy nature. I think the fringe is kicky cute! I did have to open up the hook and eye closure a bit as couldn’t get it unhooked to try on, it was easily done with finger. For reference: 5‘6“ 162lbs 38DDD (I swear bras are running smaller, LOL) and am long waisted, narrow thru hips.
