Magic Rinse™ wide-leg pant

These arrived at full price with one leg very obviously shorter than the other leg!!! Unfortunately, I had been traveling so by the time I returned home and opened the package it was some time later and did not return them. They are presently sitting here with the tags on, and as I’m doing my holiday shopping, it just hit me that my anger has still not subsided one year later. Please avoid this shoddy excuse for J.Crew trousers. I’ve always loved J.Crew products so here I am again Christmas shopping, but no longer have full confidence that everything that arrives will be of their former fine quality. I cannot have gifts sent directly to recipients anymore, rather, I will now have them sent to me first, where I will have to go over them with a fine tooth comb. In the meantime, I’m stuck with what is clearly a “lemon” that managed to slip past the oblivious inspection team, if such a department exists. I certainly hope that the inferior production of the garments improve in 2023!

Bought these and the matching sweatshirt top in the cream color. Really made the purchase on a whim, but so so glad I did. Ive worn them several times already, and like it more every time. Comfortable but pulled together look. They do run large, I went down 1 size, and love how they fit. I prefer these to be a relaxed fit, so sizing down 1 size was perfect. I’m petite, so on me theyre ankle length. They launder beautifully, no shrinkage.

These pants have a substantial elastic waist, nice wide legs, and pockets. They are lightweight but hold their shape. After I had a chance to try them out, I ordered another pair. I ordered one size down - which fit perfect.

I go from my pajamas to these while I’m recovering from Covid. They are as comfy as my PJs. The magic rinse fabric is a very thin and soft cotton, unlike the University cotton which is heavier and has more body. I love both lines because they both serve a purpose. Love the side slit pockets, too. I bought these in heather platinum and wear them with a short or long sleeve JCrew tee. The color is kind of a silvery gray. I just ordered the navy because the sale price is too good to resist! I’m in the minority because I think these run pretty much tts. The style is relaxed through the hips and legs but the waistband fits me just fine. I wear a 28 in denim and a 6 in slacks. I am narrow hipped and weigh 136 lbs.

These were one of the few wide-leg pants out there in a shorter inseam, so they hit above my ankle after folding the waistband over. They're fine for wearing around the house, but I probably won't wear them out to run errands since they are so casual. My only real peeve is that the fabric started to pill in the inner thighs after only one wear.

These are super comfortable. I am 6’1” and love that they hit just above my ankle. The waist band is a nice thickness and stays up. Some other posts say they run large, but i think that is just the style. If you are between sizes I would say go with the smaller one, but otherwise stick with your size.
