J.Crew Playa Laguna ruched one-piece swimsuit
Introducing J.Crew Playa—our very colorful, very mix-and-matchable new swim collection that shows off just a little more skin. This one-piece has everything we love: pretty ruching, a cute bow and a super-scooped back.
- Polyamide/elastane.
- Lined.
- Our swimsuits are machine washable, but we recommend hand washing as it helps keep the fabric and the shape of the suit looking newer, longer.
- Import.
- Online only.
- Item J2482.

What customers are saying:
Many customers enjoyed the suit’s vibrant colors and overall style, and some even found it very flattering when it fit right. Several customers suggested offering a design with a bit more coverage—especially around the back and side areas—to feel more comfortable on the beach. A few also mentioned that the suit tends to run small, so considering a size up might be a good idea. Additionally, some customers pointed out that small tweaks to stitching and strap adjustability could enhance the overall feel and support.

Tricky Piece
January 9, 2019I read the other reviews and did size up one size, but honestly I think this cut works best for small bottom girls. 3 stars for quality because there aren’t cups, a shelf bra or any type of chest support, the ruching in front is a nice touch but the tie is useless, you cannot adjust it, it’s just sewn on I guess... the booty coverage is minimal, works for me as I have a small bottom.

Great swimsuit
January 7, 2019Material is good, but might be a little thin. The design is stylish.

December 18, 2018J. Crew's Playa line is definitely catering to younger women with less support and skimpier cuts and I am loving it. The undeniable J. Crew quality is still there. I purchased a size larger than normal (I have a curvy bottom) and it is so flattering. Yes, it's snug. Yes, I'm showing bits here and there. That is the point. The cerise color is truly a vibrant orange crayon rather than the cherry its name suggests. It's one of those colors that is too bright to wear normally but looks great for swim, especially on darker complexions! Cannot wait to wear this on holiday. I think I have a new favorite suit, and on mega sale I almost feel like I stole it! Some design flaws (or benefits?) to point out so you aren't surprised: the bow attached to the cinching is fixed/not tie-able, so the neckline cannot be adjusted. The strap length is also not adjustable. I have broad shoulders and a short torso, so the straps do dig in a little but the length of the suit is just right.

Size is smaller than expected
December 15, 2018Size is smaller than expected, M will be a better choice. Front chest area is too tight that which makes the breast look flat.... but the quality of fabric is good. The color is nice too.

Cheap material & too thin too tight
December 13, 2018I bought this because it looked really cute online along with the strappy laser cut eyelet onepiece swimwear. This is very poor quality and ran very tight. I am size 0, sometimes 00, 5’6” and it fits too tight where it was hurting my shoulders. Other swimwear that I purchased was beautiful, perfect fit. So I know that this swimwear was made with very little attention to detail. I do not recommend this product to anyone unless you want to look undesirable at the beach. I would love to get a refund on it.

Much smaller than pictured
December 7, 2018You’re going to need a good Brazilian for this one! It is cut narrow in both the front and the back. The sides are cut pretty high too. It also feels pretty short torsoed. It is soft and does seem like a great quality. If you can finagle the right fit, I do think this suit could be a winner though!
