What customers are saying:
Many customers love the swimsuit’s stylish design, fun prints, and overall quality, noting that it works great for family vacations and pool lounging. Several customers appreciated the modern take on a classic suit and the easy feel of the fabric. At the same time, a few customers recommended exploring different sizes since the fit can sometimes be unpredictable—some found extra room in the top or noticed a tighter fit in the legs or straps. Overall, customers enjoy the look and quality but suggest trying on a few sizes to nail the perfect fit.

Size
July 13, 2019The strap is too long and the bottom is tight. The size is really weird... and doesn't have any cap inside.

Do not buy
April 8, 2019This bathing suit provides absolutely no support whatsoever. The straps are not adjustable or tight, there's no padding in the top, and the scoop is so low in the back that you risk baring your bum. The fabric is very thin, I'm afraid it would become see-through when wet. Very unexpected from JCrew, terrible quality.

Beyond High-Cut
December 19, 2018I ordered this swimsuit for a family vacation expecting a mostly modest swimsuit to arrive. I don't mind showing a little skin, and anticipated it would be slightly high-cut. What I didn't expect was for my hip bones to be fully revealed. I count on J.Crew for modest basics, and if a gingham one piece fits this way I think there's some confusion in the design department about who the average J.Crew customer is.

Not the same as other scoopback one-pieces
December 19, 2018I love the 1989 scoopback one piece (own several colors) and thought this would be a fun addition. The quality of the fabric is significantly different and not in a good way. The pattern is very cute and I really liked. The fit was also difficult as there seemed to be no stretch in the leg opening, and as a girl with thick thighs that's not helpful. I can't recommend this piece but if you're wanting something similar then I can't sing enough praises of the 1989 scoopback!

Scoopback one-piece swimsuit
November 16, 2018Unlike all the other scoopback one pieces I have from J. Crew, this one does not have a shelf bra. I love all my other ones, but it was quite a shock to order something, expect it to fit me the same as the others, and then have it arrive and be so unexpectedly different.

Odd material
November 13, 2018This swimsuit is weirdly rigid. I bought a 16 and feel a 14 would have fit better if it had the proper stretch of any other swimsuit. Also, the straps were too long but this is a common problem for me and my proportions. I'm 5'5" with a 36G bust. It's not so bad that I won't wear it. It's cute and classic and I got it on crazy sale so no regrets :)
