Surf hipster bikini bottom in retro floral

I followed the advice regarding running small so I ordered medium. I always wear small bottoms. Medium is too big on me. They are baggy & I guarantee would fall off as soon as I hit water. These are true to size in my opinion. I am 5’1” & 110 lbs

I should have listened to the previous review before purchasing. I, too, have been the same size in J.Crew bathing suits for years. I am a size 4 in all other J.Crew clothing, and have always bought a size small for bikini bottoms. These hipster bikinis are unflatteringly small - they cut tight at the leg opening which accentuates all my flaws. Very disappointing since they are final sale. I thought I had a sure thing, and was willing to risk it, but unfortunately not. I had even tried on the last J.Crew suit I bought in order to make sure it still fit well before purchasing this one. The bathing suit is well made otherwise. I love J.Crew bathing suits - they are well made and last for years. It's too bad this one was sized so differently.

I was really hoping this would fit! I bought it (along with the high cut bottom in the same print) to pair with the rash guard. The high cut bottom fit well in size Small, but the surf hipster bikini did not. For reference, I am 5'4" 132 lbs. and bust: 36", waist: 30", hips: 39" (high hip: 35.5"); thigh 24" I've been a size Small in J.Crew bikini bottoms over the past 8 years, thus why I bought this in small. The cut of the surf hipster is cut lower than the regular bikini bottom, and that 0.5" difference in the front & back was enough of a difference to sit too tight on my body. All the openings on the surf hipster (even leg openings) felt too tight as compared to a bikini bottom. I can't return the surf hipster, so I'm stuck with it. It could be the surf hipster is not the right cut for my body (whereas the bikini cut is fine) ... or it could be that this particular item runs small. It's interesting how the high-cut bottom fit well in size Small, but the surf hipster did not.
