Knotted kitten heel sandals in stripe

The material is sturdy and the kitten heel gives just enough lift to dress up any outfit. However - the sizing was a nightmare and I ended up returning these several times (that should tell you something about how much I loved them). I ordered them on my usual J. Crew 6.5 and my entire heel was hanging off the back. I felt like one of the stepsisters from Cinderella trying to jam my foot into it. Returned for a 7, only slightly better. Returned again for a 7.5 and while it's not perfect, I just don't have it in me to return them! The 7.5 is pretty good, but I am curious about how the 8 would fit...not sure how the sizing was so off!

I wear 7.5 or 8 in J Crew pumps & heels. This isn't quite a heel but I thought an 8 would be better so I didn't have my heels hanging off the back. I have a high arch, which means my foot is higher on top -- if that makes sense. So when I slide my foot into the sandal, my foot stops at a certain point under the knotted fabric. I couldn't slide my foot all the way to the front. The shoe fit in the back but there was too much shoe in the front, past my toe. This is definitely an arch issue. If I had a normal arch, I probably would fit the 7.5 ok and would've gone with the 8 anyway to allow for any foot swelling in the summer. Great fabric and the heel isn't too high or too low. Some flat mules make us shorties look shorter. These are perfect. Too bad they didn't work for me.
