June 26, 2018The appearance of the shoe in person is much more polished. After trying them on, they fit perfectly. I wear a size 9 in J Crew shoes...the 9 fit. They looked fabulous with everything from denim & tee to an evening dress. I read the previous review and was afraid they'd be cheap. Not the case at all....very chic!

Too Hot to handle
May 10, 2018I purchased the sandals for my special birthday coming in July. I’d checked out the sandal previously, so when they were reduced I jumped right on it. I haven’t worn them out yet, but have walked around the house in them. The heel is not too high and although it’s strappy I didn’t get discomfort around the top of my foot. They are too hot to handle! Can’t wait to wear them

Worth the (sale) price!
April 15, 2018I had my eye on these for so long, and finally took the plunge when they went on sale. Despite the previous mixed reviews on these, I think they are totally worth the buy! (especially now that they're on major sale). My only qualm is that the bow details do unfortunately look a little cheap in person and feel plastic-y, but overall (and from further away) they look very expensive and nice. Plus they're super lightweight and I think they're actually very comfortable to walk in. The sizing is on the fence--I first ordered my original size 6 which fit fine, but I did order the 6.5 afterward as well to compare. I haven't received the 6.5 yet, so not sure which size I will keep. But definitely plan on keeping one or the other!

Poor quality
April 13, 2018I have SO MANY pairs of JCrew shoes from 2-3 years ago (at least 12 pairs of Elsie pumps), but the quality of the last few pairs I've purchased has really taken a nosedive and it's so disappointing. These felt and looked so cheap out of the box, it looked like I had shiny plastic on my feet. The synthetic lining is silly too - what's the point of touting made in italy if the lining is cheap?

Beautiful but high
March 7, 2018Love these shoes! Made in italy which I love. They look great on. I did not realize how high they are - almost 4”. I had challenges walking in them so will be returning. If you can walk in very high heels these are beautiful!
