Cotton voile tiered button-down beach dress

I love the style of this dress as I bought a similar one in a floral print. I bought this in Wildfire & Navy in my normal medium. I could have sized down to a small as this runs large & low-cut, unlike my previous purchase. I knew this was a beach dress, & the fabric is extremely thin & see-through. The worst thing about these dresses is the chemical or fabric dye smell right out of the bag - it was so strong it gave me a headache. I was expecting the Wildfire color to be redder but it is more brown, like a rust. Still wearable, especially with a slip, but I feel I have to air them out for days so they don't smell like chemicals.

Pretty but too short for my 5’11 body. It’s final sale cannot return.

I have this cover-up dress in navy blue and yellow. While it is definitely sheer, there is just enough coverage to "blur out" the defined lines. I use that to wear my retro-style high-waisted two-piece under it. I normally fit an M-L with JCrew dresses. I ordered both of these cover-up dresses in an M and they fit me just right. It is low cut so if there is any forewarning I would give you, it would be that. For reference, I am 5'2", 170 lbs, 32G cup, 41" widest part of my hip. the hem falls a couple of inches above the top of my knees. And the sleeves provide ample room - I have thicker arms than most women do.

I have this dress in the block print, yellow, navy, rust, and pink and I LOVE them all. If you live anywhere hot, buy this dress and wear it regularly. I’ve read dome reviews where the dressed is described as see through or too sheer; nope, it’s cotton voile! Of course it is thin but its supposed to be and all you need is nude undergarments and if you want even more coverage, wear matching bike shorts underneath (although that’s too hot for me) or even the super thin nude Spanx bike short style shapewear (I’ve worn the yellow dress with this type of Spanx as its super, super thin and breathable so much better than regular thick bike shorts). The dress fits loose and flowy but not like a big sack or unflattering -it is THE perfect short summer dress especially for very hot weather areas like Florida. I’m 5’5”, 123lbs, 26in waist, 36in hips, 34B. Don’t pass up these perfectly priced, especially on sale, cool summer dresses because of their sheerness, you won’t regret it

LOVE these! I ended up getting all 4 colors (awaiting the navy to arrive and I have wildfire but it’s much more mahogany brown in person than the burgundyish with maybe hung if brown that it is online, I still may keep it though- undecided) 5’2 34b 101lbs, xxs is perfect! Take your true j.crew size, I wouldn’t size down I think it would be tight underarms if you did. Love the sleeves! More sleeves like this (I’m over so much puff everything!), so light, it is slightly see through but I put the slip from the candlelight color J.Crew Classic Fit Gauze Shirt Dress under and it was amazing! Would definitely wear this out as dress on hot day, will of course be perfect beach cover as well. These are AMAZING so worth it!

This is a very flattering and cute dress. Just wish it weren't see through so I could wear it more.
