Fit well. They're stretchy but they look like regular jeans.

Finally, a fit that isn't skinny, slim, or semi-slim (straight fit). Seriously, what is with clothing companies only selling jeans that are designed to fit a fourteen-year-old boy or a praying mantis? These are pretty comfortable and are not baggy (unless you're the aforementioned teenager). Now, if you only sold these in different colors other than just a dark rinse. Color suggestions — metal gray, walnut, a medium faded denim, khaki, and black. My only complaint is you need to wash these more than once before wearing them. The dye takes 2 -3 washes before it finally sets in.

I bought 2 pair of these jeans for my husband in October and a third pair to give to him forChristmas. The jeans fit great and he loved the comfort. The problem arose in December as the jeans split at the top of the back pocket for the length of the pocket. The only way to make these jeans wearable( and that would be just around the house) is to patch them. Because they are outside of the return window there is nothing JCrew will do to help. We have other JCrew jeans that have no problems. It appears inferior materials were used as the same defect is happening at the same spot on 2 of the 3 pairs. My husband has not gained weight and is not obese. Think twice before purchasing and buyer beware! Very disappointing! Could be why they were on sale!

I purchased a pair of jeans. I liked the fit. So, I wanted to add two more pair. The two pair are larger than the original pair that I purchased. I find it confusing when all the tags say the same thing, yet don’t for the same.

I ordered 34x32 and they were way too tight. So I returned them and ordered a 35x32 and they were too big. What I learned is to order multiple quantities of the item I want to find among those pieces, the one with the best fit. I'm disappointed with the purchase and feel I've got a pair of jeans I won't wear as much because the fit is so off. I had a consistent, great experience with previous versions of the 1040 style all with the same size (this was 2-3 years ago) but now find the fit to be considerably different from one piece to the next.

Never found jeans that fit perfectly. Still have not, these are an inch or so too wide. Quality is excellent though, and a quick trip to the tailor will leave me with the perfect jeans, nice work from J Crew here
