April 2, 2019Love the fit of these jeans. Sometimes the fit of the J.Crew stretch jeans is a little inconsistent depending on the material and amount of stretch. The fit of these jeans, however, is spot on with the perfect amount of stretch.

WARNING - "Stretch" means "Jeggings"!
March 3, 2019I own several pair of the 484 style, in both denim and khaki, and was excited to order this "wash" since it appears to be a unique color online. However, as per some of the other reviews, the color is much more aligned to the color of a low-quality pair of jeans that would be found at a discount department store. Color aside, the REAL issue with these pants is the stretch. Make no mistake, these are not jeans, but rather "jeggings." The waist comes up very high, which is popular among some more fashion-forward ladies, and the crotch is very long. In order for the pants to fit the way that I am accustomed to a pair of 484's fitting, I need to pull them up beyond my navel, and even then, it won't be long before they slip down and the zippered-crotch is halfway down my thighs. All-in, the most inferior pair of pants I have ever bought from J Crew, and possibly the lowest quality item I have ever purchased from J Crew. Trust me on this - these "jeans" are not 484's.

February 6, 2019I've been wearing 484 slacks for a while now. They're super comfy and sturdy. I hadn't tried 484 jeans before but I love them. The denim is high quality. They were a little tighter than I expected but they still fit really well.

Comfy denim with beautiful wash
January 26, 2019Its cotton-poly blend material (83%Cotton 14%Poly 3%Elastine) gives so much of stretch; It's so comfy! But it's less like a traditional denim fabric: stiff and crispy. The washing is very sophisticated, natural and beautiful. The only quibble about this purchase was the presentation of the product on the web page. The color presented was a bit off. Actual color is less saturated, and the washing has less contrast, yet it works for me (frankly, I prefer the actual color than that in the picture).

Not sure how I feel about the stretch factor
January 9, 2019I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable these jeans feel. They are very...forgiving. The overall fit is great as well, my first pair of 484s. But I must say the color seems different (lighter and less fade) than what’s in the picture and I wonder how they will age and fade considering the built in stretch? But I trust the folks at Cone Denim, so I’ll just wait and see.
