Style, Quality, but rough on all day Comfort.
January 30, 2021This is a very durable, slightly soft jean, that looks great on. However, even after I went a size up, the thigh is pretty tight, and they don't like to stay up at my waist. when I'm playing with my toddler on the floor, it's very difficult to get up and down. I still enjoy them for days when I'm mostly standing because they look great. But I wish I didn't have to keep pulling them up every 30 min.

So small these had to be mislabeled
January 22, 2021I bought a pair of 32x32. The pair that arrived was labeled 32x32, but when I tried them on they were ridiculously short. I measured the inseam and it was right at 29 inches. Terrible quality control.

January 18, 2021The big leather patch on the back should have been disclosed in the product listing. For anyone, like me, who only buys cruelty-free products, JCrew could do a much better job of both disclosing this and finding an alternative material.

January 6, 2021I have three pair of these, two are mine and one as a gift to a friend. I need a pair of 33/34 but they don’t seem to be making them any more. Great jeans, great denim, button fly... I wish they would continue them.

Too much distressing
December 6, 2020I love the fit and the wash on these but man, what is with the distressing? They've taken a great pair of jeans and gone overboard with the arts-and-crafts part. The fraying on the pockets and hems is unnecessary and the whiskering on the thighs is a little tacky; I could let both of those things slide, considering the price, BUT... then I see the hole in the knee and am going to be returning these, sadly. The hole isn't even in the model photography on the website! I really don't know why brands continue to do this over-the-top distressing when all one needs to do to get the same look is buy a good pair of jeans and wear them a lot (which would have been easy with these if done with more restraint). Anyone who really wants a hole in their knee off the rack can do it themselves. For the rest of us, can you please just make a nice, clean-ish pair of jeans? It's a shame, because JCrew is one of the only places to go for good quality denim that comes pre-hemmed to a particular length.

Quality Denim...great fit...a little dark
November 26, 2020The denim is the highest quality I’ve gotten from J Crew...thick and crisp. The fit is closer to a slim fit, but I assume will stretch a bit...I bet they end up perfect. My only small gripe is that they are a bit darker than advertised...if you had a lighter wash, I’d buy them too.
