September 2, 2021This is a beautiful loafer the sole is on the slick side so be careful when going down carpeted steps.Reading the reviews glad I went a half size smaller. If i could do it again I would’ve gotten a 9h i wear a 10h. They definitely run bigger.

Sizing recommendation is wrong
September 1, 2021J.Crew's recommendation to size down half a size is completely wrong. I am normally a tried-and-true brannock size 9 and bought an 8.5 based on the product page's recommendation. Even without socks, it's very tight. I basically need to carefully insert my feet with a shoehorn, and even then I get blisters on my toes. If I didn't buy it on Final Sale, I'd exchange them. Otherwise, I'm disappointed in the color — it much more muted than the rich caramel-y tone of the product photo. The only good thing I can say is that the soles are very comfortable. It's the sizing that isn't.
