Ludlow suede Penny loafers
September 2, 2021This is a beautiful loafer the sole is on the slick side so be careful when going down carpeted steps.Reading the reviews glad I went a half size smaller. If i could do it again I would’ve gotten a 9h i wear a 10h. They definitely run bigger.

Sizing recommendation is wrong
September 1, 2021J.Crew's recommendation to size down half a size is completely wrong. I am normally a tried-and-true brannock size 9 and bought an 8.5 based on the product page's recommendation. Even without socks, it's very tight. I basically need to carefully insert my feet with a shoehorn, and even then I get blisters on my toes. If I didn't buy it on Final Sale, I'd exchange them. Otherwise, I'm disappointed in the color — it much more muted than the rich caramel-y tone of the product photo. The only good thing I can say is that the soles are very comfortable. It's the sizing that isn't.

Fits big
Another winner in my loafer collection
April 9, 2021I bit the bullet (like I didn't know I would, lol) this makes my 2nd suede loafer and my 5th or 6th Ludlow. So, I'm thinking that should tell you how I feel about this brand. Comfortable out of the box, great rich colors, timeless style, versatile. What more can you ask for?

March 13, 2021Great color (snuff) and quality. Got them on sale, great deal. Normally wear a 10 in sneakers and got them in 9.5. A bit snug with socks but no problem, and perfect without socks. Require minimal to no breaking in.

Such a good shoe...
February 24, 2021This is my 3rd or 4th Ludlow loafer and I'm fighting myself to not get the snuff colored one, lol. These shoes make me walk a little taller and a little more confident because they just feel rich! The chocolate brown color is very deep and looks soft. They've been comfortable since taking them out of the box and I have freakishly sensitive feet that seem to hurt if you look at them wrong, lol. The build is solid and I'm confident I'll have these for a long time and then I'll have them resoled and wear them even longer. Here's to hoping I don't get the snuff color, lol.
