I love my purple coat!
February 6, 2021Beautiful coat for a great price! I usually wear size 0 but after reading the reviews, I decided to size up to a 2. It’s fits perfect! I do agree with one of the reviews... some of the beige yarn is bunched up and it’s very noticeable. I can’t imagine paying the full price for this coat but overall I’m very happy with it! I will be wearing my French Purple beanie, also from J Crew! J Crew has beautiful clothes and great sales!

Lazy Quality Coat
December 11, 2020Quality of coat: This is more of a winter to spring transition coat when it's getting much warmer outside. Needless to say it's quite thin and the jacket looks kind of dull. Like I had thought, the collar detail looks small--couldn't they at least make it fuller? The material is already shaggy right out of the box. Some of the beige yarn is bunched up and from a distance it looks as if chewing gum was tacked on(see pic). Packaging: The packaging was horrendous! It was smushed and had tape all over it. The hanger it came with was broken. Can't return it but got it at a reasonable price and can't say I love it, nor my past purchases so far. Sizing: I'm a petite size but I honestly don't know what my true size is for jcrew because I'm not spending for shipping and you can't even return or try on petite sizes at the store, so I usually just purchase 00 and I end up with a non fitted look (it gives me more room to layer i guess). But this fit me well. My waist size is 24.5.

Cut very narrow
November 23, 2020I love the lavender tweed but the cut of this coat is not what the salesperson told me. It is very narrow on the top and wider on the bottom. Too bad as this would have brightened up some winter outfits. It’s going back tomorrow.

Thin coat, Sizing off...again
October 31, 2020J.Crew makes beautiful looking coats, but quality has gone down in recent years. This coat was surprisingly thin for a tweed. It is a coat that "looks" warm, but isnt'. It is a late fall/early winter coat, but wouldn't stand up to much more than Fall, but it looks too heavy for fall. So, it doesn't work. But the worst thing, and a complaint I have overall is with sizing. I will not buy another J.Crew coat until they get some consistency in their sizing. This coat is slightly small. I wear a size small or medium top - I am a 34D (and have been for years. Got this in an 8 - Too tight. I would need a 10, but I am so tired of returning coats due to sizing that I just refuse to exchange. Why am I a 12 in the Lady Day Coat (in no other brand do I come close to a 12), in the Lady coat a 10, in the Stadium coat a 6 three seasons ago, but an 8 the following season. Yet, when you reference the sizing chart it is a generic one. I can't keep up with the inconsistency.
