Tiered ruffle-sleeve cotton poplin dress

I was excited to receive this dress. Upon delivery I opened the bag and put it on. To my dismay, it was huge! My bf concurred that it looked like I was wearing a bag. No definition of waist, which was not how it was shown on the website model. I went a size down from my normal size as well. Love the idea of the dress, but did not work for me.

Ended up happy with this purchase - when I first tried it on I was a little disappointed; I thought it made me look broad shouldered which I am a bit naturally but don’t like to accentuate. I wanted to return it but did not have time so I just wore it for the event I purchased. I ended up feeling very pretty in it and it was super comfortable. I forgot my fancy shoes and ended up wearing it with black flip-flops & it still looked great with my red earrings that I also purchased from J.Crew!

This is a perfect summer dress and great for curvy on the bottom. It was however too big in the chest and I have returned for a smaller size. Fingers crossed because it is adorable. For reference I am normally a size 10 in JCrew (5'8) 34C and I bought a medium which was too big

I felt compelled to write this review because of just how terrible this dress is. I ordered it in white, and it is exceptionally sheer. So much so that a slip is included. Who wants to wear a slip during the sweltering summer months? It runs exceptionally large, and is very reminiscent of the 1800s. I’m talking a Little House on the Prairie petticoat. I groaned out loud while trying it on because it’s so disappointing. Can’t return this fast enough. Also a point of contention- disappointing that JCrew doesn’t offer free shipping on returns.

Adorable and very comfortable. It does run large so size down. So easy and pretty, I know I'll wear it often.
