These 7" chino shorts are a go-to for a lot of customers thanks to their classic look, comfortable feel, and versatile length that works well for dressing up or keeping things casual. The fabric is generally praised as sturdy, well-made, and easy to wear, with many customers saying the shorts hold up nicely and come in great colors. Fit is the main thing to watch: several customers found they run a bit small or vary a little by color, so sizing up can be a smart move. Overall, they seem to be a flattering, polished summer staple that many customers keep coming back for.

Finally flattering shorts!
November 18, 2016As someone who, similar to the previous reviews, is not a big fan of my thighs, these shorts really made me feel good! The length was a bit longer than my personal style (I am 5'7"), so I rolled up the cuffs at the bottom and it looks PERFECT! The only problem I have with these is that the pockets show right through the white color, but it's not a deal breaker, just wish the shorts were a bit less transparent! Will most likely buy these in every color!

Perfect length for me
November 16, 2016Theseshorts are the perfect length for me. I'm 5'7" and weigh 144 lbs and have longish legs. Anything shorter would be pushing it for my 52 year old legs! I will definitely get a lot of wear out of these.

Run Small
October 17, 2016I loved the 9" chino shorts -- then J. Crew discontinued them. I bought the 7" chinos in a size 12 (my normal size) and they are tight through the waist and thighs. No, I haven't gained any weight. I feel like J. Crew is making their clothing smaller but hey, whatever the reason, buy the next size up. Especially if your waist isn't where your hips normally are (these are their lowest rise).
