Terrible fit. These are skinny NOT straight.
March 24, 2026These are TERRIBLE. They are skinny NOT straight. At least they’re nothing like any other J. Crew straight fits and I’ve purchased several. I really wanted black jeans but man, these were very disappointing.

Good denim, poor fit
May 30, 2022Huge disappointment. Waited for months to buy 100% cotton 770 jeans (the only jeans I've worn since 2015). These fit more like Jcrew 484 than 770. *Barely fit over my thighs. Also, the rise on these jeans seems lower than with past 770s. They used to be a nice mid rise. Now they sit well below the waist. Since they're "final sale," I can't exchange them. It's a shame, since all my other 770s still fit so well.

For The very skinny only
May 12, 2022I write this as someone who is not terribly big, but I do exercise consistently and my legs are evidently too big for any and all J Crew products. This is not in any way a straight fit and I also think that the pictures are terribly misleading. What is more upsetting is that returns weren't allowed on my order. I will not ever be buying J Crew Pants again. Straight fit in Gap or Levi's fit and do not hug my legs at all. I could not even pull these jeans all the way up. Horrible!

Great Pants, No Stretch
December 28, 2021I was sick of the low-rise stretch jeans that everyone sells and these are a breath of fresh air. If you're looking for mid-rise slim/straight cotton jeans, these are the ones.
