Many found the mid-rise style comfortable and loved the classic straight look along with the authentic cotton feel. Several customers suggested that the jeans might run small and recommended trying one size up or adjusting inseam length for a more tailored fit. A hard “no”!
February 16, 2023I wanted to love these jeans but it just ain’t happening. The color is dingy/dirty and they’re pretty much a slim style jean. I was expecting a boyfriend cut (b/c that’s what’s advertised) but they aren’t. Unfortunately, I bought on final sale and cannot return. For reference I’m 5’4”, 112lbs and bought the a size down bc of the reviews. These are a slim fit so I advise ordering UP! Also, they’re high waisted unlike the description “mid-rise”

my favorite! more please
January 19, 2023For reference I am 5'6" 26-27in waist 36-37in hips - straight/narrow frame. I bought my usual size 26. I love these jeans, they have a relaxed fit, but not super baggy like the boyfriend jeans. They have a touch of stretch but not a lot - Still VERY comfortable. I need JCrew to make more of this cut. I would buy this in various washes and lengths.

Inseam Shorter than Described
January 10, 2023I think these jeans definitely run true to size - they fit in my usual size 24, and since this mostly cotton denim usually stretches over time, I would definitely not recommend sizing up. Despite the fit being true to size, I was quite disappointed to find that the inseam was NOT as described (28 inches). I am 5'5" and these were very cropped on me - they could not have been much more than 26 inches long. I would not have purchased these jeans had I known how short they are, considering there is no way I can wear these in the winter with 5 inches of my bare ankles exposed.

Tricky sizing
December 9, 2022I was really excited to see these available with a mid-rise... (I'm not fond of all the high-rise cuts these days). I'm normally a 29 in JCrew, and based on the "runs small" reviews, I ordered both 29 and 30. The attached photo shows how they looked; muffin-top with the 29, and seemingly a perfect fit with 30 (right at my bellybutton as I like it). HOWEVER. After a half-day's worth of wear, my chosen size 30 stretched out and were slipping down constantly. Not the end of the world, but I wish I'd have gone with the 29 as I am continually yanking these up. Otherwise, the cut is nice, the length good, the light wash is my style.
