Poor quality, the fabric is horrible

The actual fabric is INCREDIBLY MUTED. Also, the pocket placement t as other have mentioned is very strange. The dress fits nicely, but the pockets bulge out making the dress feel and look too snug. I was bummed this was not eligible for return since it was online only. Give those photographers a raise, they got me this time! 😉

The colors are not nearly as bright as they appear in the photos. The fabric is thin and the dress is too big / long as are the straps. I really wanted to love this. :(

As a very frequent J Crew customer who wears a consistent size in J Crew clothing, I took a chance with the extra sale on sale promotion on this dress. First of all, I think it's pretty crummy of J Crew to make items unreturnable, especially when those items cannot be tried on in-store. I live in an area with two large J Crew locations and neither one of them ever had this dress in the store. This is one of the worst purchases I have ever made from J Crew. It doesn't fit (I have probably 15 other J Crew dresses in the same size that fit well); the pockets are HORRIBLE- you cannot see them in the photos but they are placed terribly and do not lay flat at all; the colors of the fabric are more muted than pictured; and the dress has lining only in the top part- the entire skirt is unlined- very surprising for how expensive this dress was originally. Even for the sale price it is shocking how cheap it feels and how poorly it fits and looks. I cannot recommend that anyone buy this at any price- I can't return it, trying to think of some way to salvage the fabric for something or another. Super disappointed.

Not good. I had been wanting this dress since it came out, it looks beautiful online. In person though, the fit is horrible. I agree with the other reviewers that the pockets are weird. I am not hippy, my figure is very straight up and down and it still puckered in the waist and stomach area. I toyed with the idea of just having the pockets sewn shut to keep them from poking out. In the end, this did not work for me.

I loved the idea here and the fabric. If you are very thin this would probably work for you. If you have medium to larger hips with any pouch at all in the lower abs you will probably not like the fit of the bodice. Also, the zipper was not the best.
