Christopher John Rogers X J.Crew sculpted skirt in duchesse satin

Honestly I am not sure what to make of the design and waist line. My wardrobe primarily consists of Crew “Collection” pieces. I am perplexed with the skirt’ awkward exaggerations which does not lay smoothly. The fabric is beautiful, print amazing, therefore I will have a seamstress restructure. It is worth repurposing. Perhaps if the fabric was lighter in weight more fluidity the skirt would not feel like a pouch. I bought a Size 0.

I love this skirt - it’s incredibly well made and very comfortable. Fabric is thick, gorgeous colors, and the perfect amount of sheen. I’m a 5’5” hourglass, and the poof of the structure in the hips does round them more, but it looks cool - very sculpted and slightly retro. The slit in the front is the only slightly annoying thing about the design, as it curls in a little. I wish it had POCKETS! It’s very long - hits right at the knobby bones in my ankles - but looks fantastic with red heels and a red top.

unfortunately was way too long and was hitting the floor . i am five foot eight and found the skirt to be way too long. I purchased the red vinyl one which had a much better fit than the pink one

I was SO excited about this skirt, but the fit is not at all like the photos. The tucks in the front are also on the back, making the skirt puff out like a tulip instead of lie flat against the hips. I'm so sad to return it, because the colors and fabric are to die for!
