What customers are saying:
Many customers loved the premium denim quality and the chic, timeless style of these jeans. Several customers suggested sizing up since many found the fit a bit tight in the waist and hips with little initial stretch. A few noted that the proportions can feel different than expected, so trying them on if possible can help ensure a comfortable fit. Overall, customers are enjoying the look and quality provided they find the right size.

Do not buy
March 31, 2021The sizing is horribly off on these jeans!! I ordered a size up from my normal size after reading the reviews and foolishly thought I would be ok. But they were still sooo small! I could barely even get them pulled up. I wish I would have heeded the warnings of other reviews about how horrible these are. They were final sale when I purchased them, so I’m just out the money. This is the first review I’ve ever written. But I felt like I needed to warn others. Don’t buy these!!

Size UP!
March 27, 2021I was so excited when these arrived, only to be let down by the fit. These are gorgeous jeans - so chic and timeless with great quality, BUT they are SUPER TIGHT in the hips and waist. I'm normally a 26 or 27 in J. Crew jeans and a 2 or 4 in their pants. I ordered these in a 26 and they literally wouldn't go past my hips. (I have an average size build, not thick in the thighs, hips or bottom.) I'm extremely disappointed as I bought these on final sale. I would need a 28 in them but they're sold out. I'd recommend sizing up 1 or 2 sizes - if they end up slightly big, you can always shrink them in the dryer. I would LOVE for J. Crew to make this beautiful style again - but true-to-size so they don't frustrate longtime customers!

Perfect jeans
February 3, 2021These have become my go-to jeans. I love how they look. Some of the reviews say they are too tight - I get where they are coming from, but don't be put off if you are thinking of purchasing. There is less stretch that other jeans when you first put on, but they loosen up after a few minutes.

Too tight
January 27, 2021No room for any curves. Too constructive on the hips.

Strange/baggy fit
December 16, 2020I went up one size, as reviewers recommended, but should NOT have done so. The 28s are so baggie around my legs, I hope these pictures do it justice (if my photos go through: notice how loose they are behind the knees. I’ve never experienced that with jeans!) If these are supposed to be a loose and baggy fit, then it certainly isn’t reflected in the model or description. Stick with your regular size, though it will prob be tight in the waist. The denim is high quality though, and color is nice. Usually J.Crew jeans feel fabulous, but this pair, I’m afraid, misses the mark. I won’t be wearing these outside of the house.

Great Jeans!
November 5, 2020I'm pretty fussy about my jeans and I love these. Love the high waist, covers the belly button and fits great across the butt. Wish they were a little more stovepipe/narrow in the leg and a bit shorter. I'm 5ft81/2 and these hit my ankles, which means I have to roll them which makes for a more boyfriend jean look then I expected but there so comfy they've become my go-to jeans.
