Cable scarf in Italian wool blend

This is a thick, chunky wool-blend scarf with lots of texture. I do not have wool allergies, and so I did not find this to be itchy at all. I bought the merino scarves in fair isle, and I felt that this scarf was so much softer than those. I purchased the pearl, and I felt the color was more of an off-white with beige undertones, instead of a brighter pearl with yellow undertones. I think this is a lovely, classic scarf that will provide a lot of warmth. It is slightly on the shorter side, though, so when wrapped, it will fall to about the upper-mid chest.

I was disappointed but not entirely surprised because of the reviews. This scarf/hat is scratchy and I can only guess that it is a poor grade of wool? I own plenty of jcrew products and have never run into this issue before. Back they go.

I happen to love wool...but only if it is high quality. I do not find this scarf itchy or scratchy in the slightest. Other reviews claimed it was .My answer to that is they're sensitive to any wool product. Because it is NOT this scarf. It is soft, the perfect size and I LOVE IT!!!!

I bought this as a gift and tried it on myself to see if the previous reviewer was right about it being itchy. It was!!! It's only 40% wool so quality isn't good. Way too irritating on the skin, I would not recommend. I'm returning it.

I have sensitive skin, especially on my chest/throat and found this to be a little irritating. It's otherwise a very substantial, warm scarf.
