Way too baggy and long
July 4, 2020At 5'4 and 125lbs with a 8 inch drop (shoulder to waist, with waist being 28"-29" depending on how much I eat), I am your most standard slim-fit 36S. I found the 36S jacket here to be both baggy, long, and with rather low armholes. If I were to label it, I would say 36R classic fit -- in fact, I had to triple check the label to make sure that I did not receive a 36R. Material is decent, and the construction may be half-canvas. But the shoulders are rather stiff. Not 90's (or was it the 80's) power-suit stiff, but definitely stiff. Together with the rather low armholes, the shoulder-arm section will leave the impression that this jacket is definitely NOT tailor-made (or made-to-order).

My Favorite Suit
August 30, 2017Last year (2016) I purchased this suit for the first time in the forest green heather and absolutely loved the style and fit. I'm a 36/s in jacket size and 30/30 in pants and I haven't had to get either the jacket or pants tailored, they've been a perfect fit. The matching pants are slim, but not tight so they've very comfortable. I've also purchased the navy heather (2016) and grey (2017) as well. All of which fit the same. Obviously this is a fall/winter suit, but I like the colors and fit so much that I'll wear the pants in the summer with a different jacket and I'm still comfortable. I don't feel as if the fabric is too heavy or warm. I couldn't recommend this suit enough.

Amazing fall suit
October 25, 2016This suit is unbelievable! The color is so unique it simply pops. The hand of the fabric is buttery soft. The fit was perfect. Pant length, sleeve length, chest, waist all exactly to spec. Not a single alteration needed. This is my second full Ludlow suit and my first in wool flannel. I recently had a custom suit made for twice the cost and I love this Ludlow equally well. I will definitely keep going to back to J Crew for suiting.
