Customers generally like this tuxedo jacket for its sharp, modern look and high-quality Italian wool, and it seems to work especially well for weddings and formal events. The slim Ludlow fit gets a lot of praise, though a few customers suggested sizing up if they want a little more room. The most common complaint is that some details feel less tuxedo-like than expected, especially the standard buttons and flap pockets instead of more formal tuxedo finishes. Overall, it comes across as a stylish, well-made jacket that earns plenty of compliments.

Great Tuxedo. Fits tight though
June 5, 2026Really great. Fits a bit tight to size (compared to other jackets at Jcrew) so I would size up slightly. Otherwise happy with the purchase.

Disappointing Quality and Unacceptable Packaging
May 15, 2026I purchased this tuxedo for my wedding, so I had high expectations for both the quality of the garment and the overall presentation. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment it arrived. The packaging was completely unacceptable. The box showed up unbelievably damaged, with the pant leg literally hanging out of the side of the box. For something at this price point I expected careful packaging and a sense of premium presentation. Instead, it felt careless, it was jammed into the box, wrapped in plastic, it came out completely wrinkled and with dirt on the pant leg. Unfortunately, at first glance the tux didn’t look much better. The pants had multiple loose threads that needed trimming right out of the box. Attention to detail and craftsmanship should be non-negotiable at this level, and it simply wasn’t there. This is what $1,000+ gets me in 2026 for a tuxedo set? I was also surprised that the tuxedo didn’t come with a dust bag. For a garment intended for formal occasions basic protective storage should be standard, not omitted. Overall, this was a frustrating experience. I understand the experience of buying something online and having to lower the expectations of how it is presented on arrival, but this was horrid for the price that I paid. I had placed this order on my future wife's account and to be honest I am never one to write a review, but this drove me insane.
